Frequently Asked Questions
All of the awesome DD file sets can printed on a 220 x 220 x 250 build volume or bigger.
The Probe Droid is the only exception and will def need a 300 x 300 x 400 printer for full scale.
We strongly recommend you setup an account before you buy rather than checking out as a guest. This way you can have access to all the files you purchase at anytime.
As soon as you complete your purchase you will receive an email from us, in that email there is a link to download the file. In that file, there is a secure and unique link that takes you to a shared folder with all the STL files and instruction PDF’s.
If you setup an account, you can access these files anytime and redownload them. Just click on the ‘My Account’ link at the top right, then go to ‘Downloads’ – here you will see all the files you have purchased through the website (Anything you have previously purchased through Etsy is only available through Etsy).
Each file is uniquely tagged as yours.
When parts are identical but for symmetry, I only save the Right.
“Files labelled as Right will need mirroring in slicer for Left.
Files labelled as LorR will not need mirroring to work to make a pair.”
Yes many people scale my prints with great results.
50% is a great downsize with least problems.
25% is doable and quite popular.
You will of course need to find smaller bolts if you still want the articulation.
Things become more problematic (including quality) at smaller scales like 1:6 scale and below.
They may need some normaly adjustable joints, to be glued…
Sorry, I do not sell any physical printed models or props.
I only sell awesome STL files I’m afraid.
For now yes, that is still written in some of the PDF Info sheets, but be assured this is the Real Dave Moog with Real DD models.
